On February 28, 2026, a celebration commemorating the 78th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was held in Nanning. Guests from China and abroad gathered to mark the occasion, celebrate the long-standing “Paukphaw” (fraternal) friendship between China and Myanmar, and explore new avenues for cooperation and shared development.

Xiao Jianzhuang, President of Guangxi University, attended the event at invitation.
